SUSTAINABILITY IN HOLOPASSES

WHAT ARE WE DOING ABOUT IT?
- We reuse/reuse our shipping boxes wherever possible
- These boxes are sealed with sustainable recycled tape
- We ship with UPS, whereby "carbon neutral" can be selected as the shipment on special request
- Our materials are all REACH-compliant and we source them whenever possible from suppliers in Germany, or at most from the EU
- The ink of our printing line is food-safe and could even be used for printing food inner packaging
- We use green electricity and turn off the coffee machine after use ;)
HOW SUSTAINABLE CAN A PLASTIC ID CARD BE?
Our holo laminates and framecut passes...
- are made from PET-based films or materials upon special request (♻️) when ordering and can therefore be fully recycled
- should be disposed of using the Yellow Bin or the Green Dot if necessary
- can thus be returned to the recycling cycle
AND WHY DON'T YOU HAVE ECO OR ORGANIC CERTIFICATES?
These already exist, or we could produce them, but the vast majority of our customers require very durable, stable, and shatter- and water-resistant ID cards, some with integrated security features.
Unfortunately, biodegradable materials or films do not yet have these properties, but we are in constant communication with suppliers and manufacturers to further advance this topic and to be able to produce and offer ID cards and passports that combine all of these properties as soon as possible.
So why don't you at least use organic paper for your laminated passports?
For environmental reasons! - Really?! Yes. The explanation is quite simple: Paper that has been laminated (i.e., coated with a film, no matter what kind) can no longer be recycled with waste paper (as a composite material). Instead, it's considered hazardous waste and must be incinerated. And we definitely don't want THAT!
